In Listening

After more than a decade of collaboration between CTM Festival and Germany’s public radio Deutschlandfunk Kultur, with support from Austria’s ORF public radio, the Radio Lab is shifted into a project titled »In Listening« which aims to zero in on sound-focused experiences. Two commissioned works selected via open call will be announced in October.

Resynthesising the Traditional: At the Extreme

The next Berlin edition of the Resynthesising the Traditional lab takes on a specific subfocus on the intersections and tensions between the traditional and the extreme, with hosts Karina Utomo and Luigi Monteanni. Artistic fellows selected from an open call will be announced in November.

Spatial Audio Experimentation Lab

The Sound Practice Research Kollektiv (SPR), comprising students from various disciplines at the Folkwang University of the Arts and led by Jan St. Werner and Michael Akstaller, has teamed up with CTM Festival and the Futures of Listening initiative to create an artistic lab that invites international artists to engage in several days of theoretical discussion and practical experimentation around spatial sound. A day of public presentations will showcase the outcome of the lab's work. The programme will be announced this winter.
