Mexican producer and DJ Loris’ sets travel through breakbeat, drum & bass, techno, IDM, and bass music drawn into dense, percussive passages of tension and release. Beneath runs a deeper current of diasporic memory, inherited rhythms and cultural fragments entering into dialogue with the physical states they summon: propulsion, suspension, exhilaration, disorientation, capable of carrying memory without fixed placement. Alongside her work as an artist Loris curates Zoco, a party series and platform devoted to artists from the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America, gathering distant musical lineages into a living local constellation.
