From the dust of vanished rites towards an uncertain future.

Through the remains of ancient forms, Swiss-Iranian writer and musician Jahan Xanlü search through language and mythology for fragments which might speak to the present. Writing systems, oral memory, found objects, local flora, and digital detritus become means of recording place, ecological decline and the fractured realities of the contemporary world recast through a speculatively poetic lens. Their music summons older Central Asian forms through improvised instruments and voice, then drives them into the scorched machinery of industrial and doom metal. Their audible universe is a future neither ruined nor redeemed, where old knowledge persists in altered forms.
