Concert: Growlers Choir – Voices of the Void

Growlers Choir Photo: Camille Gladu-Drouin

25.1.2026 | Radialsystem

Founded by composer Pierre-Luc Senécal in 2016, the Growlers Choir is composed solely of metal vocalists, called »growlers,« coming from different metal subcultures. The compositions of the ten-piece ensemble split across low, mid, and high registers, combining wails, hog grunts, howls and shrieks with layered choral singing, whispered breaths, ASMR textures, throat singing, and effects. Be sure not to miss this unique performance.

26.1.2026 | Radialsystem | As part of Fugue Friction concert with Lukas de Clerck

Dror Feiler channels his uncompromising engagement with politics and resistance into his new project »No IS«. Joined by his NO Orchestra – this time composed of fellow experimental musicians Boris Baltschun, Laure Boer, Greta Christensen, Mazen Kerbaj, Mats Lindström, Magda Mayas, Gustavo Obligado, and Camilla Sörensen, – high-pressure sonic fields collide with the poetry of Ghayath Almadhoun, speaking from the wound of exile, war, and ongoing destruction that the world prefers to describe as »the way things are.« Together, noise and poetry say: The world cannot remain as it is.

Update: Pink Siifu replaces John Glacier on 28 January

Dissonance Drift concert night with Pink Siifu, Milkweed and Tony Njoku

An uncompromising voice with a constantly mutating grammar, Pink Siifu moves within the fracture zones of Southern hip-hop, punk, jazz, noise and soul sweating atop experimental textures, raw yet tender and deeply intentional. Nocturnal, restless and impossible to pin down—exactly how we like it. Pink Siifu will be replacing John Glacier, who is unable to perform due to health reasons. We wish her the best and hope to feature her in another edition.

CTM Magazine: New Article by Marcin Pietruszewski

Sift-Flow processed schematics of the aulos Image: Marcin Piertuszewski

»Oto Aulos« by Marcin Pietruszewski and aulos performer Lukas de Clerck is a new work that centres on composing for the ancient aulos instrument and computer. Ahead of the work's premiere at CTM 2026, Pietruszewski shares more insights into his work with de Clerck and the fascinating world of the aulos – an instrument already contested in ancient times and for which we have no sonic record. In his article »Ear Elisions: Subtraction, Slippage, Refraction« Pietruszewski also raises questions on the limits of human listening and what it might mean when machine systems hear what their designers cannot predict.
