2 October 2025 | Haus der Visionäre | Berlin

CTM unveils a new event format with Exponential Function, an immersive warehouse rave taking place at Berlin-Kreuzberg’s new venue Haus der Visionäre. Headlining the night will be Japan’s leading otherworldly selector ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, with more artists to be revealed in the coming days. Building on CTM's 25-year history of championing experimental music, the event highlights the art of DJing and uses d&b's innovative Soundscape spatial system to turn the warehouse into an immersive sonic environment.

Presale starts 16 July via Resident Advisor, with pre-registration now open. The event is powered by d&b audiotechnik and d&b Soundscape.

4 – 6 September 2025 | Institute of Contemporary Arts | London

With: Emptyset, Kavari, Tarta Relena, Lyra Pramuk, aya x MFO, Violent Magic Orchestra

Three nights at Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) London will feature artists mutating folk traditions into the present, deep-diving into the materiality of electronic sound, and manifesting offbeat connections through disjointed narratives and madcap performance. This third collaboration between CTM x ICA will again immerse visitors into the intersections between music, visuals, and performance, highlighting both organisations’ longtime commitment to pushing artistic dialogues across forms and practices. On the lineup are: Lyra Pramuk, aya x MFO, Emptyset, Tarta Relena, Violent Magic Orchestra, and KAVARI. With special thanks to Goethe-Institut London, who have provided ongoing support throughout the three-year collaboration.

»Mutating Traditions«: Issue #3 of tekhne journal presented by CTM

The multi-year sound art initiative tekhnē has released its third journal issue, this time curated by CTM. Titled »Mutating Traditions,« this journal issue brings together articles co-commissioned for CTM Magazine under the Resynthesising the Traditional theme. Confronting conservative views of tradition as something frozen, solidified, and generally untouchable, this journal issue's four featured articles explore (re)connection to past aesthetics and forms within diverse political contexts, and echo in various ways how technologies are bound into the ongoing transformation and shaping of (sonic) traditions.
