SHAPE is Sound Heterogeneous Art and Performance in Europe, a platform active since 2014 in supporting performance opportunities, promotion, and exchange to a yearly group of 48 aspiring musicians and interdisciplinary artists working in a variety of idiosyncratic music and sonic art from all over Europe.
The artists featured here have all compiled tracks and sounds that are currently inspiring them – or that they have created themselves. Their mixes are complemented by short interviews with Mariana Berezovska of borshch magazine. Since 2017, borshch covers electronic music on and beyond the dancefloor, provoking open dialogues and challenging established ideas about making, listening, and dancing to music.
