The installation by Paul Purgas at silent green Betonhalle also functions as a performance space, with the geometric floor and sound system operating as a stage and PA system for a series of live musical events during the exhibition period. Imran Perretta, Nabihah Iqbal, Paul Purgas, Poulomi Desai, and Suren Seneviratne will step into a dialogue with the sonic echoes of the NID’s electronic music studio through a series of live improvisational performances presented across the exhibition’s duration.
An expanded focus on South Asian artists is represented via multiple events spanning the festival programme. Club performances include Ahadadream, HVAD, and Lush Lata, while Poulomi Desai gives a concert at HAU2, and Ruhail Qaisar will perform a concert at Berghain.
