CTM 2026 Lab

The Resynthesising the Traditional artistic lab returned to CTM Festival for the festival's 2026 edition in Berlin. Five fellows selected via open call met over a week, sharing performances and discussions with the public on two occasions.

Almaty edition | 15 – 25 October 2025

Korkut Triennale 2025 Lab

The Resynthesising the Traditional artistic lab travelled to Almaty in October 2025, as a first preview action leading to the II Korkut Triennale the following summer. Titled »The Wind Howls,« this lab edition invited six fellows to take part in a weeklong journey with a specific focus on aural traditions and the wind as both a powerful cultural symbol and physical element.

Inaugural Lab Edition | 27 January – 2 February 2025

CTM 2025 Lab

The first edition of the Resynthesising the Traditional artistic lab took place within CTM 2025 festival in Berlin. Eight fellows selected via open call met to engage critically and in-depth with aesthetic, discursive, and technological approaches when connecting to musical and cultural heritage. The lab culminated in a public output on Sunday 2 February.
