    From historical toxic cosmetic concoctions to Espionage Concealment Agents, this artist talk follows the path of heavy metals from our lips to our informational technologies.

    Findings and tactile experiments carried out for the research project »Arsenic Ballerinas« with pigments and powder expose the multifaceted history of lipsticks. Archival circuits, images and YL (young lady) radio amateur operators' transmissions draw parallels between toxicity, beauty, and technological developments. Cosmetic mineralogy becomes semiconductive, both a deadly agent and an instrument of communication and resistance.
