    »Corriente parásita«is a site-specific solo performance by Javier Areal Vélez composed for the architectural space of Berghain’s Säule floor. Using an array of electrical motors mounted to its beams, columns, railings and staircases, each iteration of the piece reconfigures the space, effectively playing Berghain as a procedural, electroacoustic mega-instrument. First presented in Buenos Aires in 2025, this brand new version of the piece was developed during his residency at the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program and has been co-produced by CTM-Festival and DAAD.
