Presenting works from her LP »Dja Dja«, out on !K7 Records, the ecstatic aural architectures of Catalan’s Marina Herlop loops through layers of harmony and invented language, producing melodies that shimmer intangibly as they’re sung. Collisions of classical piano accentuate her radically elastic voice, splintering into digital fragments while stacked vocals bloom into huge choral structures.

South African composer and cultural researcher Dumama excavates Southern African musical traditions and propels them into radically contemporary territory. Built on childhood songs and memories together with Xhosa oral traditions, these materials become transformed through electronic textures, live vocal loops, processors, and field recordings, their resonant timbres a gateway into an African technological consciousness pulsing with ancestral memory.
