The programme will weave through (ear)witnessing and processing violence, systemic failure, and vulnerability. Talks by artists and researchers will examine the complex interplay between dissonance and resonance, and how these relate to understandings of solidarity and artistic inquiry. CTM’s ongoing Resynthesising the Traditional thematic strand appears with a day of performances and talks by fellows of the namesake artistic lab. Talks, presentations, and a listening session with some of the artists in the Echoes of Tumult exhibition complete the programme this year.
The Discourse programme complements further talks that are part of the one-day RA x CTM: Rethinking Music Ecosystems collaboration, as well as CTM’s yearly Research Networking Day.
