Focusing on loudspeaker domes and circular arrays, the third workshop in this masterclass series takes shape as a practice-led session that introduces comprehensive strategies for sound projection and composition in Ambisonics. Participants examine how specific tools and workflows shape artistic decisions, covering key concepts of augmented spatiality and spatial dramaturgy. The block provides transferable methods for configuring routing strategies and aligning gesture, density, and trajectory within a three-dimensional field.
The workshop's focus will be on projection strategies with domes and circular arrays; how tooling/workflow shape decisions. It will take place as a practice-led lecture with exemplar works and projection methods; augmented spatiality and architectural approaches. Participants will leave equipped with the knowledge of transferable methods for Ambisonics composition and rehearsal.
Learning objectives:
- Configure dome/array routing and decode strategies.
- Align gesture, density, trajectory to dramaturgy.
- Iterate via rehearsal diagnostics.
