Closing the day's discussions at the intersection of eco-violence and embodied artistic practice as a way of witnessing and translation, Signe Lidén draws the lens outward from local to planetary. Reflecting on how situated listening practices can open pathways into vast geological and environmental processes often beyond human perception, Lidén will explore the relationship between a local, situated attentiveness and large-scale planetary and geological phenomena. She will share recordings and critical reflections on her experience of using both self-built listening devices and the technology that uses fibre-optic cables as acoustic sensors, in order to approach long-wave phenomena.
