    This workshop will explore compositional techniques as they pertain to matters of tuning and temperament, with particular focus on microtonality, just intonation, and historical temperaments. We'll listen to examples and look at scores selected from my own practice and from notable composers within the minimalist tradition, discussing a variety of approaches and attitudes.

    Requirements

    Knowledge of basic music theory and ability to read music is not necessary but would be very helpful.
