This hands-on workshop invites DJs and live artists to explore spatial sound as an active performance tool using Ableton Live and the Ambrio Sound SPM Spatial Mixer.
Developed in collaboration with Ableton and Ambrio, the session introduces a new approach to shaping sound in space, moving beyond stereo towards fluid real-time control within a multi-speaker environment provided by AIAIAI Audio's UNIT-4 monitors.
Participants will work directly with the Ambrio Spatial Mixer, the world’s first DJ mixer designed for intuitive 3D spatial control, and explore how it integrates seamlessly with Live for performances. Focusing on practical workflows, movement and creative use cases, the workshop opens space for experimentation with depth, motion and spatial effects as compositional elements.
If you’re an Ableton user, be prepared to bring your Ableton Live project to the session via your laptop. CDJs will also be provided.
Participation is limited to 15 people. To apply, please fill in the short application form via this link by end of day 12 January 2026 (CET). You’ll be notified of your application status by 15 January 2026. Once selected, you’ll receive a link to purchase a ticket.
You’ll have the chance to hear the Ambrio Spatial Mixer in action Jan 24th when CTM hits Haus der Visionäre for »Spatial Radiants« featuring a stacked lineup of spatial-oriented performances with Blawan, KAVARI, Net Gala, Jensen Interceptor, ophélie and more.
