    In the first part of this session, 4DSOUND’s William Russell will take the audience through the basic theoretical concepts and practical steps for how spatial sound practices and methodologies can add another dimension to a wide variety of disciplines and artistic practices.

    What is spatial sound? What are the spatial arts? What is the significance of this new medium within contemporary culture? How can spatial sound methodologies and technologies increase the creative possibilities and add another dimension to one's individual or collective practice? As we edge closer to an era of seamlessly integrated »immersive« media, spatial sound is playing an increasingly important role in the way we communicate, and how we build spaces and experiences.

    Following Russell, Alexandre Saunier will explore the integration of the latest AI-driven tools developed by the Wilding AI collective and how these interface more deeply with the creative possibilities the 4DSOUND system offers. These tools, using Max for Live devices and OSC communication, integrate large-language models (LLMs) into sound production workflows. Through intuitive experimentation, participants will explore prompting LLMs to create expressive spatial motions and sound modulations.
