Sound Heterogeneous Art and Performance in Europe

The SHAPE platform supported emerging innovative music and audiovisual art from Europe in the period of 2016 – 2021.

The SHAPE platform's 16 member festivals and arts organisations provide performance opportunities, promotion, and exchange to a yearly group of 48 aspiring musicians and interdisciplinary artists working in a variety of idiosyncratic music and sonic art from all over Europe. Educational activities such as artistic hacklabs, and public lectures, talks, and workshops by experts in various fields are also realized.

The platform was formed by members of ICAS (International Cities of Advanced Sound) – a global network of independent non-profit organizations dedicated to advancing sound cultures, music and related arts.

    SHAPE x CTM 2022 Mix Series

    Mixes by Audrey Chen, Avtomat, Hüma Utku, KMRU & more stretch across the sounds supported by the SHAPE platform for adventurous and emerging artists.

    SHAPE x CTM present Audrey Chen at Grey Space

    Using the cello, voice and analog electronics, Audrey Chen’s work delves deeply into her own version of narrative and non-linear storytelling. A large component of her music is improvised, un-processed and her approach is extremely personal and visceral. The concert takes place 24 March in The Hague, and is free entry.

    Crack magazine and SHAPE present a string of exclusive online premieres of performances, video works, compositions, and mixes. Featuring Grand River, Johanna Hedva, Julia Reidy, Nazar & more.
