Each of the 15 festivals that are currently part of the platform will welcome interns and involve them in the preparation process of their event. The internship is open to Ukrainians currently residing in Ukraine, and also those who have left the country due to the full-scale invasion. Main requirements are a keen interest in adventurous music and art, previous experience in the cultural field, excellent English, Ukranian citizenship, and a biometric passport. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Each intern’s profile and each festival’s needs will be slightly different, but duties of the internship may most likely include: communicating with artists and their management, support with production plans and scheduling, planning logistics, paperwork, and creating content for promotion.

The current open call is for the period of September 2024 – February 2025 and includes festivals such as CTM Festival (Berlin), Unsound (Krakow), Out.ra (Barreiro), Skanu Mesz (Riga), UH Fest (Budapest), Construction Festival (Dnipro) and more.

The internship period is 2 months, with up to 40 hours of work per week. Please note that for applicants who are based in Berlin and wish to apply to intern at CTM Festival, we are happy to discuss a longer period with less intensive hours per week (part-time), or other such arrangements that would fit an applicants needs. Living costs will be provided, and in the case of applicants coming from outside of Berlin, travel will also be covered.

SHAPE+ – Sound Heterogeneous Art and Performance in Europe – is a new European platform for innovative music and audiovisual art co-financed by the Creative Europe programme. It's aim is to foster exceptional emerging talent through a yearly roster of artists that will be supported through touring opportunities, as well as a number of residencies that connect international artists to local actors at each SHAPE+ member organization. Artist selection is done though a combination of yearly open call and curatorial selection.

SHAPE+ consists of 15 partners in 15 countries. It builds upon the previous SHAPE platform, which from 2015 to 2022 supported 336 emerging European artists and presented their work at festivals, events and venues in numerous countries across Europe and beyond.
