Disturbed Ground Shortlisted for VIA Awards

We’re thrilled that Disturbed Ground, our collaboration with Kyiv’s ∄, is among the nominees for »Best Experiment« at this year’s VIA Awards! Congrats also to our friends Interspecifics, nominated in the same category.

Disturbed Ground is a project by ∄ and CTM that brought together artists undo despot, Zeynep Schilling, Khrystyna Kirik, and Mark Bain to create two new audiovisual performances that respond to the ecological consequences of war in Ukraine. The project was co-curated by ∄, CTM Festival, Mariana Berezovska, Anastasiia Syradoieva and alen hast from u2203, and supported by Goethe-Institut.

The VIA awards are hosted annually by the German Association of Independent Musicians and Music Companies (VUT), and is the first and only critic’s awards in the German independent music industry. The awards are meant to honour outstanding talent and projects, regardless of commercial success.

Winners for this 14th VIA awards edition will be announced on 17 September at an awards ceremony hosted within the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg.
