Tintin Patrone

Artistic Lab

Uncanny encounters of flesh and the sythetic.

Working as TinTin Patrone, German-Filipino artist Christina Köhler draws together noise, improvisation, electronics, choreography, self-built instruments and, increasingly, robots and artificial intelligence, setting human performers against machines and other forms of agency. Since founding the Krachkisten Orchester in 2009, she has developed a practice built of the handmade and the absurd, analogue noise machines rising from dismantled toys. In 2025 she developed Heidenei, a participatory musical ritual inspired by the Swiss tradition of alpine blessing, bringing choirs, children, musicians, signs, drums and even flocks of pigeons into a roaming procession.
