Polygonia
Music
Munich-based artist Polygonia composes with an ear for the patterns and correspondences within the natural world, pulling forth its aural allures into unusual configurations. Trained in acoustic instruments and drawn to the visual arts, she brings a finely wrought sense of detail in her intricate percussion and shifting, organic textures. Elements of techno, breakbeat, bass, ambient and IDM mingle within, bleeding into one another in breathy bursts. Her 2025 Dekmantel release Dream Horizons offers an expansive and beauteous expression of this approach. The prolific and busy composer also co-founded the IO collective and label, founded the label QEONE and the electric-jazz trio Lyder, and co-founded audio software company DSP Dealer to bring greater clarity and accessibility to the tools musicians use.
