Olsen
Artistic Lab
Oliver Wolf, aka Olsen, creates interactive and site-specific installations, sound works and participatory projects combining electronics, sound and everyday objects. His work explores the intersections between humans and machines: from parallels between technology and theology, which both shape structures of dedication, belief and ritual, to the pervasive analogy between Geist and computation, investigating notions of technological autonomy, determinism and agency. His self-made automata short-circuit the logic of utility, turning robots and machines into »sense-fictional« apparatuses that respond to (techno-)logical promises and the drive for optimisation with humour and poetic absurdity.
