Eveline Vervliet moves from intimate pieces for solo instruments and small ensembles into improvisation, A/V installation and interactive works, with sound often extending beyond the concert hall into systems that can be altered or set into motion. A self-taught programmer, she builds situations in which sound and image may be interacted with, continually reshaping one another. She is also the founder of WebSoundArt, a platform devoted to the development and reflection of sound art made for the web.
