Within Vica Pacheco’s work, sound, object, and image interlock into dense ecosystems of meaning. Born in Mexico and now Brussels-based, she folds experimental music, composition, ceramics, and 3D animation into a single practice outside of fixed form. Performances and installations are both driven by an eclectic and high-energy sensibility, mythological crossbreeding and encounters between human and non-human presences animating the material. Sound circulates through bodies and objects, thickening until it feels tactile and alive. Working through a syncretic process, pre-Hispanic and archaic techniques are blended with contemporary technologies, heterogeneous elements stitched together into immersive environments both ritualistic and uncanny. Meanings constantly mutate as they unfold.
