Rooted in Mexico’s borderless electronic underground, Ruiseñor traces the living currents of the Latin American and Caribbean sound, carrying echoes of cumbia, salsa, reggaetón, dembow, and pre-Hispanic percussion into dialogue with the kinetic languages of techno, house, trance, and bass music. Each set is a cartography of bodies in motion, a migration and return. Her research weaves through sound archives and cultural genealogies, tracing the ways rhythm preserves history and projects it forward.
Through her projects Deseo, CONECTA Fest, and Terminal, she’s cultivated spaces for experimentation and collective growth, helping to shape Mexico’s independent electronic landscape from within. Her radio platform Club Lava, an online radio platform and her ongoing sound experiment Ambient para leer, devoted to listening, reading, and quiet reflection, are networks built to sustain alternative futures for Latin American artists.
