Berlin native Nunguja has become a force to be reckoned with across global institutions and underground rooms, shaping sound as a living, social force. Her trajectory arcs through PAN label nights, sound performance debuts at the Bourse de Commerce in Paris and Spazio Maiocchi in Milan, and an appearance at MoMA PS1 Warm Up Series. On her Oroko Radio and Refuge Worldwide residencies and behind the decks her approach to sound is informed by layered cultural experiences and an instinct for play. Her sets feel exploratory and grounded at once, steeped in experimental textures and structures, strands of traditional African music interlaced.
