Visual forms for disentangling histories.

Graduating from the National Academy of Fine Art in Kyiv in 2007, Nikita Kadan works with installation, sculpture, painting, and graphics, often through interdisciplinary collaborations with historians, architects, writers, and human rights activists. His practice critically engages with history, violence, and the political conditions shaping both images and public space.

Kadan is a member of the artist group REP (Revolutionary Experimental Space) and a founding member of Hudrada, a curatorial and activist collective. He lives and works in Kyiv, and his work has been presented repeatedly in the Ukrainian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2015, 2022, 2024).
