Developing FIBERous frameworks that foreground listening and ecological awareness.

Jarl Schulp works as a curator, designer, and event organiser in digital culture, audiovisual art and experimental music. He is a co-founder and the artistic director of FIBER, the Amsterdam festival and platform that functions as both a public event and an ongoing research environment. His practice examines how technological systems shape perception, social structures, and relationships with the more than human world, treating technology less as a tool and more as a condition. He extends this work through experimental knowledge settings such as labs, masterclasses, and workshops, where process and shared inquiry take priority over finished outcomes. His current activities include long term collaborative research within the Futures of Listening consortium through FIBER, contributing to broader discussions on how sound based practices can reframe technological and environmental awareness.
