An artist collective based in Lausanne, Switzerland, Fragmentin was founded in 2014 and is composed of Laura Nieder, David Colombini, and Marc Dubois, all trained at ECAL (École cantonale d’art de Lausanne). Working at the intersection of art, ecology and engineering, the collective investigates how tendencies of control and opacity in digital technologies impact our everyday lives. Through sculpture, installation, video, interaction, and performance, Fragmentin seeks to render complex systems legible, using artistic form as a space for dialogue around urgent contemporary concerns such as climate change.
Fragmentin has exhibited widely in Switzerland and internationally at major institutions and events, developed collaborations with galleries, and realised interventions in public space, remote landscapes, and online environments. Their work is held in several permanent collections and has been recognised with numerous awards.
