Enyang Urbiks is a Berlin-based Grammy-nominated mastering engineer and musician. Raised across South Korea, the United States, and Tokyo before settling in Berlin, her practice reflects a layered listening history shaped by scene-crossing and close attention to detail. As co-founder of Urbiks Music, operating from the historic Funkhaus Berlin she's become a trusted collaborator for artists working at the skittery edges of experimental and electronic music, valued for her ability to translate complex artistic intent into finely balanced sonic form.
For Urbiks mastering is not a finishing step but a spatial practice, often described by her as sculptural, where depth and dimensionality are carefully articulated. This philosophy extends seamlessly into her own music-making, approaching her artist projects with the same holistic care, overseeing production, mixing, and mastering as a continuous process.
