Their passion and commitment shapes special moments at home and on international stages alike. They hold a residency on Oroko Radio, and host Black Rhizome, a show that platforms artists across diaspora. They are a trans artist working across sculpture, durational performance, music and text. In their work, they blend theoretical, historical and personal material, paralleling spaces of presentation. Their work draws from their life experiences of illness, participation in prison abolition movements, and their trans identity, tackling the subjects of the construction of subjectivity, consumption of the body, mediated via technology and spectacle, collective memory, opacity and alternative temporalities.
