While she's travelled across North America and Europe with the likes of Vladislav Delay Quartett, Blonde Redhead, Planningtorock, tUnE-yArDs, Peaches, and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Oyama has been quietly building a unique archive of field recordings as part of her evolving journey into sound art. This meticulous collection serves as the foundation for experimental creations powered by tools like Max MSP and Pure Data, where she crafts her own software patches, alongside industry-standard platforms such as Cubase and Wavelab. Her curiosity extends as well to the analog, driving the design and construction of guitar pedals, microphone preamps, and custom synthesizers.
