Employing distortion not as a force of destruction but as a method of reinvention, Isaka emphasises the »messiness of actualization.

« Bone-sterile computation and flesh-draped reality blurs, noise structured into music that approximates and reinterprets the uncanny texture of the Real as real-time visuals respond algorithmically to the music: a form of digital improvisation. The computer, here, is as much a performer as Isa herself, a symbiotic human-machine interaction in tribute to the demoscene subculture that has shaped digital aesthetics for decades. This interplay between personal and synthetic worlds extends into Isa’s physical self-presentation, where makeup becomes a vital element of her identity and performance. Far beyond cosmetic application, it functions as a ritual of self-engineering and reclamation, both transformation and the acknowledgment of identity as an ongoing project.

A hyperreal exploration of identity, transformation, and the increasingly porous boundary between organic and artificial realities, Isaka’s »Elytra« is built on her self-coined »hyperbass« framework. Merging aggressive low-end energy with intricate sound design, glitchy textures, and hyperpop vocals that balance experimental abstraction with dancefloor immediacy, themes of insect moulting thread through the work: metamorphosis as a cyclical, layered and often traumatic process. Through a deep iterative process blending hand-drawn collages, sketches, and AI-assisted 3D imagery, Isaka builds a multidimensional narrative that mirrors the music’s layered construction. This integration of audio and visual elements reflects the album’s central thesis: the self is not a fixed entity but a fluid construct shaped by external influences, internal conflicts, and the technology mediating our existence.
