Known for crafting vicious bangers that transmogrify despair into anger and hope, Haringwey’s musical journey began in the late '80s through skateboarding videos and the soundtrack to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, ushering him into the chequered world of pop and skate punk. Transitioning eventually from playing in pop punk bands to becoming an avant-garde sound artist and synthesist, Haringwey’s current slap combines electronic music with the sweaty energy and message of hardcore and punk to deliver accessible yet powerful social commentary.
Through his 2023 Strange Therapy & Accept Productions release Inside the Vampires Castle, he explored themes inspired by the late Mark Fisher, addressing the alienation and division fostered by culture wars. His rage-filled compositions critique the liberal left’s tendency to dismiss dissenting voices as morally inferior, reflecting his frustration with the erosion of critical discourse and genuine connection.
