
The German-Austrian composer's work integrates concepts such as Radical Listening, Environmental Storytelling, and Social Composing, blending instrumental, choral, and orchestral music with cutting-edge audio-visual installations and trans-digital music theater. Collaborating with scientific and artistic partners such as d&b audio and Ars Electronica, she conducts artistic research on 3D-Audio and AI-Voice Clones, further expanding the boundaries of contemporary composition.
Notable large-scale productions include »ARCHIPEL,« an immersive piece for 40 dancers, musicians, a 3D-Audio Choir, and a sound sculpture by Sou Fujimoto. Her compositions have earned her prestigious awards like the Ernst von Siemens Young Composer’s Prize and the German Record Critics’ Award, while her Public Privacy series and other works have been performed at major festivals worldwide. As the artistic director of Ensemble Garage and the F*MN Festival, and a professor at HfMT Cologne, Muntendorf continues to shape the future of contemporary music with her queer-feminist and interdisciplinary ethos.
