Combining Devi’s ethereal vocals and spiritual depth with Slikback’s frenetic, bass-heavy prowess with avant-pop, experimental club, and hallucinogenic sound design produced by both artists, AKA HEX is Devi’s most dancefloor-oriented material in years, and Slikback’s most alien and exploratory creations to date.

Devi, born in Switzerland with Nepali Indigenous heritage, has carved a path through the underground as a producer, vocalist, and curator. With her label Danse Noire, she launched her groundbreaking EP »Hakken Dub / Throat Dub« and continued to explore the intersections of sound, mysticism, and multi-dimensionality with albums like »Of Matter and Spirit« (2015), »DNA Feelings« (2018), and last year’s enigmatic »Death Is Home,« featuring her first collaboration with Slikback, blending avant-garde sensibilities with spiritual resonance.

Slikback, hailing from Nairobi, is a boundary-pushing producer known for his kaleidoscopic approach to sound. Drawing from club, noise, ambient, and rap influences, he weaves intense, futuristic soundscapes that challenge and redefine dancefloor norms. His prolific output, showcased through his Bandcamp releases, culminated in the release of »SLIKBACK,« a double-LP compilation of his genre-defying experiments.
