For over a year we have been watching with horror the unrelenting violence in Gaza, Israel, the West Bank, and lastly Lebanon unfold. Despite countless calls from across civil society, an immediate and definitive ceasefire remains elusive and ever so urgent, so that people can urgently receive aid and begin to rebuild their lives. We support everyone that works for lasting peace and the realisation of freedom, and full and equal human rights for all people in Palestine and Israel.
CADUS and ALLMEP work to provide immediate humanitarian aid and to create the societal conditions for sustainable peace from the ground up, anchored in the shared efforts of civil society, which in turn can catalyse the profound political change and diplomatic openings that are needed. You will find donation boxes at CTM 2025 venue entrances / box offices, and at the festival info counters. An equal share of all proceeds will be donated to each organisation and we at CTM will further contribute to the overall donation amount, as we have done in the past.
We encourage anyone who does not have cash with them when visiting a CTM Festival event to consider donating to these or other humanitarian aid organisations or regional peace initiatives.
CADUS is a humanitarian organisation delivering medical and technical emergency relief in crisis and war zones worldwide. Previous missions in Iraq, north-east Syria, and Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as current missions in Gaza and Ukraine, focus on close cooperation with local organisations and active collaboration with affected communities. In Gaza, CADUS has deployed medical teams to support emergency rooms in local hospitals and trauma stabilisation points. The organisation also facilitates patient transports from North Gaza, transferring critically ill and injured individuals to safer hospitals, and provides first aid training to both local and international organisations. These demanding missions are made possible through meticulous planning and preparation. This includes a dedicated professional team at the Berlin office, 24/7 operational availability, continuous security monitoring, and comprehensive training for field teams at the organisation's own Makerspace in Berlin.
The Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP) is a network of over 160 Palestinian and Israeli organisations working to build linkages between their societies to catalyse peace and equality for both peoples. In response to the current crisis, they have started new programs focusing on trauma-informed peacebuilding and women leadership in conflict resolution in Palestine and Israel. They represent their organizations in front of governments around the world and advocate for the centrality of civil society in peacebuilding efforts.
Organisations such as Standing Together, Tomorrow's Youth Organization, Women Wage Peace, Jahalin Solidarity, and Extend are part of the alliance.
Over the past 10 years CTM has collected donations for a variety of causes and organisations, in particular with the Berlin-based initiative Plus1—Refugees Welcome. We will keep working with the initiative Plus1 – Refugees Welcome in the future.
