As guitarist and vocalist for Vancouver trio lié – a band which slips deliriously through claustrophobic hardcore and political deathrock – he’s mastered the art of wielding heavy, vicious, and implacable sonics like a lash. That ethos has evolved from the duo of Minimal Violence into his current solo incarnation as Infinity Division. His live shows echo the chaos of his punk roots, building the energy of the space into a phantasmagoria that ferments audiences with HD mosh energy and crowdsurfing mania.

Now based in Berlin, Luk’s recent INTOXTC EP on Never Sleep brings a searing dystopian vision of our modern existence: the cruel embrace of hardcore breakbeats, industrialised orchestral melancholy for a tranced-out world slipping ever further into madness. It’s the sound of the Sword of Heaven descending upon us sinners, Blade Runner crucified in the Blood Rave to feed an engine of combusting club gods – you know, the good stuff.
