Takkak Takkak is a new duo project by the Berlin-based Japanese screwball producer Shigeru Ishihara (aka Dj Scotch Egg, waqwaq kingdom, scotch rolex) and the Vilnius-based Indonesian junk multi-instrumentalist J. Mo’ong Santoso Pribadi (one half of Raja Kirik). The duo found common ground with their borderless enthusiasm for rhythm – hence their tongue-in-cheek, onomatopoeic moniker – and dove into hacking contemporary and traditional musics, fusing low-end club sounds with wiry Asian traditional patterns and howling vocals. Performing their namesake album released 7 June on Nyege Nyege Tapes, Takkak Takkak navigate a cross-continental palette with skill and humor. It's infection and fearless – Pribadi and Ishihara are having a blast, and they don't care who knows.

Gabber Modus Operandi’s love for energetic, intense sounds forms the foundation of their hyper-active, unprecedented output. The duo of Kasimyn and Ican Harem fuse the challenging sounds of gabber, digital hardcore, punk, and noise with a number of uniquely Indonesian sounds such as jathilan (a trance dance), dangdut koplo (a subgenre of a popular dance and folk music), and funkot (reminiscent of both European happy hardcore as well as dangdut). Through explosive live performances and recent collaborations with Björk and Tianzhuo Chen, their productions have captured listeners worldwide to become international dancefloor staples.
Japanese sound artist and improviser popon, who began her musical journey as the singer in a punk band before swerving into more experimental territory, will bind the evening together with DJ sets. Influenced by 80s Japanese DIY punk, children's music, and various music coming out of Bristol, the setten affiliate, and Small But Hard label manager creates overdriven textures and blurry industrial noise jams.
