The Ugandan artist and modular synth builder Brian Bamanya, also known under the artist name Afrorack, will introduce his practice in a session that aims to show beginners how to build electronic sound generators with limited resources.

The Ugandan artist and modular synth builder Brian Bamanya, also known under the artist name Afrorack, will introduce his practice in a session that aims to show beginners how to build electronic sound generators with limited resources.

Participants should expect to have fun while learning the basics of building electronics and be inspired to transform their ideas into musical instruments. They will have a chance to gain hands-on skills in soldering to make a simple musical instrument following detailed instructions. Materials will be provided – if possible participants should bring their own soldering iron.

While this workshop is aimed at beginners, people of all ranges of experience are welcome.
