The French, Berlin-based DJ, radio host, and music producer’s versatile and adventurous DJ style was born in the kraut-techno-jazz infused Cologne scene.

While bass music and leftfield house music often shine in Monibi's DJ sets, she takes inspiration from the old-school NY open-format style of DJing and joins the dots of the dance music spectrum, favouring vibe over genre dogmatism.

She released her debut EP in 2019 and subsequent single via the Cologne-based, experimental, and kraut-loving label and artist collective baumusik. She was also awarded a Musicboard Berlin scholarship in 2021, leading to the release of her second EP Forest Love via Barcelona electro and techno label Diffuse Reality in summer 2022.

Next to DJing, producing, and live sound engineering, since 2015 Monibi has held several radio residencies (incl. Red Light Radio Amsterdam), has been involved in community based projects (such as Femme Bass Mafia, baumusik, and THF Radio). Through her projects, she works towards the diversification of nightlife and music.
