Arriving in Berlin via Istanbul, electronic music composer and sound artist Hüma Utku combines her musical practice and academic studies in psychology through works that draw inspiration from the human condition, psychology, and folklore.

With an overall disregard for genres, Utku utilises melody and sound as tools for storytelling in electronic music. Her full-length Gnosis (2019, Karlrecords), and debut EP Şeb-i Yelda (2018), earned Utku recognition for this unique approach. She has toured extensively across Europe and the Middle East, and was selected as a SHAPE-supported artist in 2021. Her sophomore album The Psychologist was released by Editions Mego.
