Rami Abadir is a music producer, sound designer, DJ, and music critic born in Cairo, Egypt, but now based in Berlin.

 

His work combines experimental, club, and ambient music, and deals with themes inspired by fiction, memory, and cultural artefacts. While his most recent album – 2022’s Mutate – was released on acclaimed Shanghai-based label SVBKVLT,  previous releases have featured on Genot Centre, Hush Hush, Yerevan Tapes, and Kaer’Uiks,  among others. Abadir also holds a master’s degree in digital media from the University of Arts Bremen. In 2023 he is supported by the SHAPE+-initiative.
