This workshop is a brief introduction to the fundamentals of shouting, according to Rully Shabara.

With the ability to distinguish different types of shouts and screams, maybe we might respond appropriately when faced with imminent danger. With the ability to voice complex ideals and expression by simply shouting, maybe we might make ourselves better heard. Shouting is not about making noise. Shouting is necessary.

The workshop will be part discussion and part exercise. Starting with an examination and discussion of the voice as representative of one's ideas and ideals, we’ll then put some of our thoughts into shouting practice.

Requirements

This workshop requires an environment where the participants can shout comfortably.

The workshop takes place within CTM’s A2A Transmission series, which through online workshops aims to help sound practitioners expand their skill sets and practices at a time when touring and in-person performance opportunities remain limited.
