Dr. Jono Gilmurray is an artist, writer, and lecturer, whose work revolves around sound, listening, and sound art in an era of ecological crisis.

Gilmurray holds a doctorate in Sound Arts from the University of the Arts London, and is Deputy Course Leader and Senior Lecturer in Music Production at BIMM Institute in Bristol. He has had journal articles published in Organised Sound and Musicological Annual, and contributed chapters to Environmental Sound Artists: In Their Own Words (Bianchi & Manzo, OUP, 2016), and The Bloomsbury Handbook of Sonic Methodologies (Bull & Cobussen, Bloomsbury, 2020). He is currently writing a book on ecological sound art and sonic ecocriticism.
