Music videos on MTV by bands like Slipknot and Linkin Park first shaped young Hakan, triggering an intense enthusiasm for music culture, especially metal and punk but then extending to US hip-hop and the German rap of the Berlin underground. Before HAXAN came KORA WINTER, with Hakan as singer since 2015. After two EPs as well as their debut album BITTER (2019), KORA WINTER is critically acclaimed throughout Germany as a unique avant-garde metal band.

In addition to the band activity, Hakan began to write and produce his own songs, which he released for the first time as HAXAN in the form of the RAW EP (2019). WAR EP and GARGOYLE EP followed in 2020 and late 2021, respectively, and together they help HAXAN stand out as a fresh voice in the modern rap scene.
