The Berlin-based Canadian sound artist works in composition, performance, and sound installation. Taking a conceptual approach, she generates subtle and imperfect sounds through haptic gestures and seemingly mundane materials to create texturally nuanced works that continuously retune the ear.

cole has performed in many countries on four continents – likewise exhibitions of her work have been shown on four continents. Her regular collaborators include Oren Ambarchi and James Rushford (as the duo Ora Clementi). She has also worked with artists such as Francis Plagne, Leif Elggren, Tetuzi Akiyama, Seiji Morimoto, Jessika Kenney, David Rosenboom, Annea Lockwood, Keith Rowe, David Behrman, Graham Lambkin and many more. cole’s work has been published on labels Black Truffle, Penultimate Press, Students of Decay among others, with guest appearances published on Touch and Editions Mego.
