    • A limited number of virtual visits are on offer to the »Ventrilogues« exhibition for those that cannot join us in person.

    Ventrilogues is a series of four sound works that dialogue across music, sound art, and sonic essay formats, and which are specially conceived for the innovative Spacemap Go spatial sound system by Meyer Sound. The works by Mouse on Mars with Louis Chude-Sokei; Soundwalk Collective with Charlotte Gainsbourg, AtomTM, Lyra Pramuk, Paul B. Preciado, and Willem Dafoe; Marcin Pietruszewski and Alex Freiheit; and Jessica Ekomane and Rully Shabara, unfold their respective narratives as spatial sound dramaturgies in which the voice, detached from the body and technologically mediated, plays a central role.

    WARNING: Stroboscopic effects are used within some parts of the works.

    It is possible to see the exhibition through a virtual visit, which is free with registration. A team of hosts, comprised of friends of the festival, is happy to meet with you on Zoom at selected times, to visit, listen, discuss, and experience the events together. At the start of your virtual visit, the guide will introduce themselves and the event, before walking you into the venue via their mobile phone. You will be able to listen to a separate live audio stream via your web browser, and watch the light show via the Zoom call. Interaction within the exhibition is limited, to avoid disturbing other visitors. You can request to leave the exhibition at any time, after which the guide is happy to exchange with you about the works and your experience.

    Please note that the sound quality of the experience will be limited. Due to the limited time of the online visit (maximum 45 minutes), it will not be possible to explore all installation works which are being presented in »Ventrilogues.« It is likewise not possible for us to assign specific works to the timeslots, as the works are played in a loop throughout the day. What is presented within each virtual tour timeslot is therefore dependent on what is being transmitted in the space at the time of your visit.

    These virtual visits are experiment that aims to foster exchange of experiences, and to offer a glimpse of the events at a time when more people than ever might not be able to make it in person. We’re excited to try out this body proxy method with anyone wishing to join us virtually!
