This year an additional project has been selected as a special »Kontinuum« commission for radio, to appear as a 1-hour broadcast on Deutschlandfunk Kultur and ORF. Loré Lixenberg's »The Voice Party Presents: The Voice Party Opera Bot Farm (My Muse is My Fury)« proposes an aural radio station, OperaBotFarm, whose job it is to troll the liars of the world with a chorus of truth, jokes, commentary, and advice as the choruses of the ancient Greek dramas did.
The narrative of the botfarm will be created from a combination of analogue composed and AI generated material. For example, a Trump tweet about climate change being fake news would be countered by the Opera Bot Farm using a »fact troll« that quotes scientific data in a never ending vocal musical invective, stretching as far as to come up with a piece of extended voice advice on tree planting. Through her piece, Lixenberg explores ways in which opera can be used as a form of resistance, imagining a constant vocal response to act as a counterpoint to all the political lies out there today.
